Marlon Resort - Camping and Fun for the Entire Family

If you’re a camping enthusiast, you’ll find that the Marlon Resort is an absolutely breathtaking camping facility with a wide variety of interesting activities for campers to enjoy. Situated between Port Shepstone and Hibberdene in KwaZulu Natal, the resort is only about 25 kilometers from Margate, so it is easily accessible. It is also located near the beach and offers camping sites, caravan stands and fully equipped luxury chalets. There are so many things to see and do here that, how you choose to enjoy your time at Marlon Resort is really up to you.

One of the things that makes the Marlon Resort in South Africa such a great camping destination is its location. The resort is situated in the sheltered valley of the Damba River where the sparkling waters of the river flow out into the big blue Indian Ocean, providing swimmers and fishers with access to tidal pools and a shark protected stretch of beach. There are also plenty of modern facilities to make life under the shady trees of the camping and caravanning grounds wonderfully comfortable. Combine this with the incredibly scenic views and the tranquil atmosphere and you’ll find you have the makings of a near-perfect outdoor holiday destination.

So exactly what sort of facilities can you expect to find at the Marlon Resort? To start with, each camping and caravan stand has access to water and electricity. You will also be able to choose between sunny and shady sites and ultimately select the view you wake up to every morning. The ablution blocks have hot and cold water and are cleaned regularly to ensure that they are hygienic. You may also launder your clothing in the scullery if you wish. For those who prefer a bit more luxury, there are fully equipped self-catering chalets and log cabins. Campers will find table tennis tables, pool tables, a trampoline and a children’s playground to keep them busy if the weather turns bad, while the nearby Oribi Gorge Shopping Center is also a great place to while away time. Other activities worth doing include nature walks, horse riding, golf, mountaineering, white river rafting and abseiling. You may also want to visit some of the nearby attractions such as the Crocodile Park and the Bird Park. If you love marine life, the Ski-Boat Club offers dolphin and whale watching excursions, as well as deep sea fishing and diving excursions.

The Marlon Resort accommodates Youth Groups, Christian Camps and School Camps. The rates and tariffs are very affordable so you will find that you can enjoy a family holiday which is easy on your pocket. So whether you plan to enjoy camping, caravanning or a stay in a self catering chalet, you will find that your stay at Marlon Resort can be peaceful, exiting, adventurous and fun. The facilities at this resort are as endless as its beauty.
