Dolphin Beach - Soft Sand on Jeffrey's Main Beach

Dolphin Beach is the main beach of the picturesque seaside town of Jeffrey's Bay in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. This wide stretch of soft white sand, lapped by the ever constant waves of the Indian Ocean has been awarded Blue Flag status – an international award for beaches that meet stringent safety, environmental and facilities standards. With well trained, fully equipped lifeguards on duty, Dolphin Beach provides peace of mind for families as they enjoy a day of fun in the sun.

Jeffrey's Bay is world renowned for its superb surfing opportunities and hosts the annual Billabong Pro competition as part of the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Tour. While serious surfers may favor other beaches such as Super Tubes, Boneyards and Magna Tubes for their challenging surfing conditions, Dolphin Beach attracts its fair share of windsurfers and body boarders to its comparatively gentler surf. When the Eastern Cape's long summer days set in, Dolphin Beach is the venue for many a lively game of touch rugby, providing hours of entertainment for players and spectators alike.

Other activities near Dolphin Beach include sky-diving, sand-boarding, kiting, mini golf and quad biking. Interesting places to visit include the Shell Museum and the Penguin Center, and accommodation, restaurants, cafés and shops are plentiful. Jeffrey's Bay's Dolphin Beach is a great family holiday destination.
