Fish Hoek Beach - Picturesque Piece of Heaven
The village of Fish Hoek, near False Bay, is one of the most picturesque destinations in the Western Cape. Located on the Silvermine River mouth, and in a fertile valley, Fish Hoek offers unchallenged coastal beauty. A mere thirty minutes drive from Cape Town, visitors to this province can escape to the magnificence of the village and its beach for a few nights, if the bustle of the city becomes overwhelming. Fish Hoek Beach is known for its wonderful sandy stretches and safe waters.
Fish Hoek Beach is situated in a bay, protecting the coastline and providing surfers and swimmers with a safe environment to enjoy the ocean. The beach is also able to accommodate a variety of activities, such as angling, sailing and canoeing. Many dog owners prefer to take a stroll along the Jager’s Walk path to Sunny Cove and Peers Cave. If lucky, when looking out over the ocean, visitors will be able to catch a glimpse of frolicking dolphins or whales, as they move along the coast. Fish Hoek Beach is a tranquil piece of heaven, set in the breathtaking surroundings of a quaint village.
