Cullinan is a small and peaceful mining town, located approximately thirty kilometers from Pretoria, in South Africa. Tourists are becoming an increasingly familiar sight here, as well as local city slickers from nearby Pretoria and Johannesburg, escaping the bustle of the city. It is a town that is rich in history, noteworthy sites, great activities, and affordable accommodation.

Every year in September visitors flock to the Magoebaskloof Spring Festival – a celebration of spring and the upcoming new growing season. Visitors never fail to be impressed with the Magoebaskloof countryside in spring, when it is a riot of color and filled with the promise of new life. The Magoebaskloof Hotel, near the village of Haenertsburg in the Limpopo Province of South Africa, will once again be hosting the event, which is set to take place from 20 to 28 September 2008.

For the fourth year running, wine-lovers will be given the opportunity to taste South Africa’s premier wines at the annual Standard Bank Soweto Wine Festival, which is set to take place on the 5th and 6th of September 2008. This celebration in honor of the fruit of the vine will be held in the main Arena Hall at the University of Johannesburg on the Old Potch Road in Soweto, between 18:30 and 22:00 each evening.

The quiet holiday town of Jeffrey’s Bay in the Eastern Cape, South Africa, will once again come alive with world class surfing action that starts on 10 July 2008 and ends on 20 July 2008. Forty-five of the best surfers on the planet will descend on Jeffrey’s Bay, which is the fifth stop on the ASP World Tour 2008.
