The Delectable South African Cheese Festival

Bien Donné, the picturesque farm situated between Franschhoek and Paarl, will once again host the very popular South African Cheese Festival. The 2008 event will take place from 25 to 28 April, and it promises to be better than ever before with plenty to please the palate. Enjoy the country market atmosphere while savoring legendary South African cheeses and exciting new cheese varieties, together with olives, freshly baked bread and, of course, superb South African wine. Visitors will also be given the opportunity to compare South African cheese with Dutch, French and Swiss varieties.

The Breedekloof Outdoor Festival

Annually in October, South Africa’s passion for the outdoors is celebrated at the Breedekloof Outdoor Festival. This well-attended festival takes place in the beautiful Breedekloof wine region, which is one of the largest Western Cape wine producing valleys, encompassing the Goudini, Slanghoek, Breede River Valley and Rawsonville areas, less than an hours drive from Cape Town. The 2007 Bredekloof Outdoor Festival will be taking place from 12th to 14th October 2007.
