My wife and I will be arriving in Joburg aon 17/3 at 1200hr via 1time airlines, We wil be staying at garden court sandton and would like to go for a half-day soweto tour in the afternoon of 17/3. However, as we are arriving only at 1200hr, we are not sure if we can get to the hotel in time to check-in and get onto any tours. Please advise any other alternative and the rates. Thanks. Charles

I did the Premier Diamond Mine Tour yesterday and found it very informative and interesting. It was R70 per person and you can call or book online. Google it. We only did the surface tour but I did not want to do the 4 hour underground tour which I believe runs around R440 per person. Our guide for the tour was Fran and she was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. She was great about warning people about uneven ground, steps up or down, things you could trip on, etc. She was also funny so the tour was not boring. We all enjoyed the tour very much and recommend this tour.
