Plettenberg Park is an all-weather hotel, swathed in sunshine during the summer, equally splendid in winter, with log fires ablaze, keeping you cosily at the centre of the wild and spectacular surrounds.

Wide open spaces play an important role at Plettenberg Park's Lake House, not only in terms of the panoramic vistas across the Indian Ocean and the sprawling savannah behind, but also within the hotel itself. The Lake House architecture is refreshingly simple, with high ceilings and a skylight running the length of the extended entrance hall, wall-to-wall windows and wide terraces. There are two new rooms with glass showers overlooking the sea and when available, honeymooners will be booked into these rooms. Room Service is also available throughout the day and all meals can be served in your room or a private dinner on the balcony.

For guests on honeymoon, we offer the following as part of the package: At sunset on the day of arrival, you are treated to a romantic candle-lit Jacuzzi bath whilst sipping sparkling wine and snacking on canapés. The next morning a guided walk into the Plettenberg Park Reserve along the scenic cliff can be arranged. En-route in a secluded haven of natural beauty and immaculate views, a glass of sparkling wine with a selection of cheeses (or any other preferred snack) can be enjoyed whilst relaxing in a comfortable deck chair. Optional activities for the honeymoon couple looking to spend timeless moments together are: Champagne breakfast on board the luxury yacht, Outeniqua departing from the Knysna Waterfront, through the Knysna Heads and out to sea for a trip of 2½ hours; Horse Riding Trails; A journey in a horse drawn carriage through mystical forests; Close encounters with the large mammals of the ocean - whales, dolphins and seals; Nature walks in the renowned Robberg Reserve; · All these activities are available at an additional cost.
