Fishing
The dam at the chalet is regularly stocked with trout – and only catch and release is allowed -- except if arranged otherwise. (Fingerlings are reared in a dam at then main farmstead)
Game Viewing
Game drives available on request. Guests will spot various game species on the drive to the chalet. .
Bird Watching
The dam and cliffs make for excellent birding and a large variety of feathered friends will be spotted from the chalet and sundeck. Fish Eagles and various other birds of prey will be spotted from time to time.
Hiking Trails
A series of hiking trails were laid out beginning at the chalet. The more adventurous are welcome to explore the whole area at own peril.
Other Activities
Swim in the dam or rock pools. The farm has beautiful indigenous trees and is frequently visited by experts in the field.
Visit the world-renowned Seekoeivlei Wetlands at Memel. The 2000 ha Seekoeivlei Wetlands (listed as a Wetland of International Importance (RAMSAR) )offers an estimated 350 bird species including many 'specials' and 15 Red Data listed species
