Description:
This 800 ha reserve lies at the foot of “fynbos”-covered mountains in the Overberg, the unspoilt Southern-most region of the African continent, and has sweeping views over the Agulhas Plains towards the ocean. The private nature reserve of farm 215 is located mid-way on the gravel-road from the fishing town Gansbaai to the rural hamlet of Baardskeerdersbos. It is a 2,5 hour drive from Cape Town.
Far removed from the daily grind of life, farm 215 is a private and secluded retreat where you can enjoy tranquility, splendid isolation, an overpowering sense of space and the unique nature of the Cape Floral Kingdom. Luxury accommodation is offerd in two spacious rooms on the first floor of the old homestead and in four fynbos-suites, spaced out in pristine nature to ensure privacy and undisturbed views. The suites have 3 interconnected spaces : lounge with fireplace, bedroom with kingsize bed and 100% percale cotton linen and bath area with bath and separate shower. A covered deck stretches along the width of the suite. The suites are powered by solar energy.
Meals, made from local ingredients and with an eye to detail, are served in the spacious dining- and bar-area. The 25 m heated lap-pool is reached via a wooden boardwalk from the deck in front of the dining-area. A detailed map shows the various hiking-trails in the reserve.
