The bustling town, which offers so much, is bordered on both sides by nature reserves. Discover the nature and culture in Kouga. The annual Fynbos Festival is held each year in August in Humansdorp. More than 2000 species of plants grow naturally in the area. The Baviaanskloof and Gamtoos Valley is a must to nature lovers. Jeffreys Bay is part of the Whale Route and the visit to the outlook at Plane Street is necessary! (Between July and October) Come and experience the Khoisan cultural history. Visit the grave of Sarah Baartman at Hankey, about 40 km from Jeffreys Bay. Do not miss the Shell Museum as well as the Surf Museum!
