Known as the Cherry Town, Ficksburg is host to the annual Cherry Festival.
Description:
It really is a delightful festival and certainly an event worth making mention of to all your friends and family. With so much to do it’s guaranteed to have everyone as excited as we are.
Golfers can enjoy a great golfing competion, while others who are feeling energetic can take part in the half marathon. Alternatively you can join the cherry tour or take up the challenge of making Cherry Mampoer, an extremely strong alcoholic drink.
If vehicles are more your thing, you can watch the veteran vehicle displays which always seem to wow the crowd. Or perhaps the equestrian events are something you’re fond of. Food and beverage fanatics have not been forgotten, with a food, wine and beer festival providing all the necessary ‘energy’ to carry on.
