The Durban International Film Festival is the longest running festival of its kind in South Africa and will be hosting the 29th edition from 23 July to 3 August 2008.

Description:

Visitors to the Durban International Film Festival will be privileged to view some of the 300 screenings of films from a variety of international countries, but specifically those that come from Africa as a whole and South Africa.


The festival will prove to be a great inspiration to all those who participate, from amateurs to professionals in the business. Screenings are expected to take place from a variety of venues, including areas where cinemas do not exist. During the course of the day there will also be a variety of workshop programs and seminars, which will be offered by both local and international filmmakers alike.
