The Cape Town International Jazz Festival is referred to by many as “Africa's Grandest Gathering”. It has been recognized as the largest Jazz event on the continent.
Description:
This fantastic celebration of jazz music draws artists and visitors from the world over. The program is split into a 50/50 ratio of African and international artists.
In addition to brilliant live performances by jazz musicians, the festival seeks to promote jazz to the youth with a number of programs. Under the instruction of professional musicians, interested ones can gain much knowledge and insight into the music industry. If you are in Cape Town during the month of March, be sure to attend at least one of the two days of this internationally acclaimed festival – the Cape Town International Jazz Festival.
