Runners looking for a fun holiday challenge might consider the South Easter Holiday Run to be exactly what they are looking for. The combination of nature and sport is unbeatable! Description: This annual event is presented by the Fish Hoek Athletic Club every year. If you’re feeling a little heavy from over-indulging this festive season, then the South Easter Holiday Run might be exactly the pick-me-up that you need to get yourself physically motivated again. The route run during the race is circular and takes you up a very steep and difficult hill before runners are able to turn onto a gravel and sea-sand road and run past the picturesque Clovelly Golf Course. Runners will then continue through the village of Clovelly before running through a breathtaking wetland area back to the finish. The entire route measures 15 kilometers and is very pretty and enjoyable – though it is also challenging. Walkers are welcome and all are invited to join in the fun. Registration takes place at 06:00 and the race starts at 07:00. There is a 2.5 hour cut-off time for the race and the first 700 competitors to complete the race will be awarded with a medal. Cost: R33.60 per an entry. Contact: Andy McAughey on 0836263222
