Where: Johannesburg Civic Theatre, Johannesburg, Gauteng
This is a show that is going to have you rolling on the floor in laughter, as you watch the incredibly hilarious stand up comedian Nik Rabinowitz performing One Man One Goat at the Johannesburg Civic Theatre.
Talented producer, director and writer, Geraldine Naidoo, is well known for her amusing comedy plays such as the Chilli Boy and Hoot, an award winning comedy. However, it was when Geraldine witnessed Nik Rabinowitz’s successful performance of the comedy during the well known 2007 National Arts Festival in Grahamstown that convinced her to take the play to Johannesburg. This side-splitting and excessively amusing play will have you in stitches and runs from the 29th of January to the 24th of February 2008.
One Man One Goat takes an in-depth look into life in South Africa through a social but very witty commentary given by Nik Rabinowitz. Of course nothing is left on the side line, from Newsreaders to ex-politicians, street vendors even the odd late comer!
Nik Rabinowitz is well known to television audiences around the country as well as in both local and international television commercials. You may also have seen him in two other one man shows - ‘Anyone seen my goat?’ or ‘The life and times of Klasie Kakpraat’. This really is something that you should share with family and friends, so make a date and come prepared to be entertained!
