‘The Merchants of Bollywood’ is a captivating, colourful musical extravaganza written and directed by the talented Toby Gough and based on the life story of Ayesha Merchant and her grandfather Shantilal, two leading choreographers.

Description:

This energetic, vibrant musical has a cast direct from Film City Mumbai, making up 40 of the most brilliant dancers, actors and singers and through this the most powerful and extraordinary story develops.


It’s a touching story of life’s dreams and disappointments, as well as the emotional journey made by Ayesha Merchant as she journeys to make peace with her grandfather Shantilal, determined to heal past wounds.


The Merchants of Bollywood will be performed in Durban on 19 and 20 May. Ticket prices range from R166.00 to R371.00 per person and can be purchased from Computicket.
