Many of us are well acquainted with the workings of English poet and playwright William Shakespeare. However, it’s under the direction of the talented Roy Sargeant and his brilliant young cast skilfully bring back ‘The Merchant of Venice’ in all its dramatics.
It is by capturing of your imagination and the beautiful setting of the Maynardville Open Air Theatre that such characters as ‘Shylock’ the wealthy, Jewish moneylender and ‘Antonio’ a generous and faithful merchant are brought back to stage, for here the story unfolds; traps are set until finally a trial is set!
This is certainly something to share with friends and family, so if you have a marker in hand quickly mark the 14th of January for this memorable occasion!
