what we should first under stand is that although the to parties which these people represented we fighting the same battlethat is apartheid,the main problem was with the fundarmental principles of the two organasations(A.N.C&P.A.C.)from the on set one should know that the PAC is a party that separated from the ANC because on the very day in 1958 when the ANC meet in kliptown in johannesburg to endorse the freedom charter,people like MR BIKO had voiced out their opposition towards this charter because it accomodated all the groups (races)of south africa,now the likes of MR BIKO (anc youth leader then)did not want to identfy themselves with that so for progress sake they we excluded from the gathering,that was then that the PAN AFRICANIST CONGRESS was formed.
MR MANDELA had always talked about unity amonst not only black people but also all the other race groups.
enough of brief history MFETHU i agree with you he should have mantioned him,because MR BIKO did so much for the anc youth leauge that up lifted the struggle.
