Well, Cindy, you've made it abundantly clear why you haven't lived in South Africa since 1998.

Unfortunately, all those crime statistics don't add up to a "communist regime". In fact, they don't add up to "communist" or "regime" in isolation.

Your misuse of statistics is unsurprising.

You neglected to remove the proportion of the 48-million who are under voting age. Perhaps with that number adjusted, the 13-million voters will add up to a larger proportion of the population. Unfortunately it has been over a decade since the apartheid government thrust population distributions down my throat, but I'd hazard a guess that a significant (say 30-40%) proportion of the population is below voting age. You're really good a punching numbers into calculators, you calculate the new percentage.

Your further ignorance of South African politics - particularly during apartheid - is also unsurprising.

If you'd bothered to read Madiba's Long Walk To Freedom, you'd discover that the PAC broke away from the ANC in 1959 and that Madiba was particularly scathing of the PAC. He later admitted that the book was "little more than a political pamphlet", however, I'm sure that the PAC's post-amnesty activities did not bring joy to him.

At the time of the attacks (I know people who were in the church at the time), it was widely accepted that the closely-timed Heidelburg Tavern and St James's Church massacres were chosen because they were multiracial venues. As surprising as this would seem, in fact it's in line with the PAC's africanist stance. Their 1994 electoral slogan was "One Settler, One Bullet."

Really, woman, you should shut up now and go read about the country you like to slate at every opportunity.
