Now we are talking real food!
The secret to a real Bobotie is to bake it, rolled as a loaf in an eartenware dish till slightly browned and and set, then only pour over the mixture of milk and eggs combined with a spoon full of curry paste,cook till egg mixture sets, if not brown enough to your taste, place under grill for few minutes, and serve with fluffy white rice, and mango chutney (and not yellow rice with raisens)
This is the way my grandmother learnt from her great friend and writer C.Louis Leipoldt in the fifties
And what about Pickled fish? I sold this idea to my French inlaws, and they have never stopped making it!
