8OOBILTONG's Products are available at a British Store in your area.

NewswirePressRelease via Firstcall/ -LOS ANGELES, Calif., Feb. 11th., 2005

800Biltong's products are available at a British Store in your neighborhood.

Call your local British store for more details. If you are not sure of the stores location, you can call the distributor at 310-327-2690, Monday to Friday during business hours PST and if you ask for John, he will give you the location of the closest British store near you.

Firstcall asked Larry Burnett why he has placed his products into British Stores across the US. He said " Its a good fit. Many ex pats shop at their local British stores to get a taste of "home", especially in underserved areas". He also added "Ex pats from South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Zambia, UK, Australia and New Zealand make up the mix of our loyal customer base in the US. This is the first time ever that boerewors and biltong, made under USDA controls and approvals, has been available as a consumer item in a specialty retail store, packaged and barcoded for retail sales".

If you prefer to continue to purchase from 800BILTONG directly go to http://www.800BILTONG.com or call 1-800-BILTONG

Exclamation Meier (USA) has S.African food!

Well actually it's as close as you will get to South African food. It's actually British food most of the time. I saw WEETBIX, CERES JUICE, LUNCH BAR, etc there. There is also a store called WORLD MARKET that sells a whole lot of South african food. CHUTNEY, CADBURY CHOCLATES, WINE, CUSTARD, you think of it, they've got it!!!! Check your local listings, yellow pages, or google.com
I hope I helped a few people from S.A living in the U.S

Nope, not in Tennessee either. However, I've been making my own boerewors ever since we got back from South Africa in February. It's really easy (except for stuffing the sausage skins) and you can buy sausage skins on eBay pretty cheap.

You are so right Ches,
We often make them as burgers, and include lots of fresh ground corriander seeds
which makes them a true ' Boerewors' on the barbie...do try it.....

They're putting up a new World Food Market down the road from where I live. I hope they have SA food. I managed to get custard powder from Wal-Mart once, and the Mexican food section is a blessing for all the Nestle products like Nesquick and Milo.
