Let's all remember Hector Pietersen and his co-demonstrators, who 30 years ago today reignited the struggle for international eyes. Spare a thought also for the 500 others who gave their lives over the next year as the riots spread around the country. Let's also remember their leader, Steve Biko, who died of head injuries sustained during "questioning" a year later.
