Why not activate the reputation function so that we could show if we approve or dissaprove with someone ??

Cheers

On an open forum like this , in my opinion it would only create animosity....plus there is not enough input to create such a function

Reputation as a means to show agreement or disagreement is pretty useless. It's just a cowardly way to voice your disapproval. If you agree or disagree with someone, reply to their post.

It will atleast motivate people to make usefull post, unlike the **** some people are writing at the moment.

You could make it to deduct one of your reputaition point when disagreing, that way stopping poeple from giving out bad reputation for no reason.

It is your perogative to either read or ignore a post.....so what might not be of interest to you, might well be to someone else

The fact is, this is barely a website at all. The posting rate is so slow, moderators can easily keep up. Maybe when this website has 100 active users signed on at a time reputation will become important, but until that day arrives, it's just not necessary.

If you're leaving because there is no reputation system, then I guess you weren't a valuable contributor anyway.
