Help !

I am visiting South Africa in December with some friends and would be interested in finding out where I can obtain 'cheap' internal flights. Can anyone point me in the right direction ?

Hi

Internal flights are not all that cheap. There are only 2 major airlines (South African Airways & British Airways) operating the domestic routes and the lack of competition results in the prices being rather high.

Before to book more than 3 weeks in advance. After that prices go up exponentially. A return from Johannesburg to Port Elizabeth booked 5 weeks in advance is around R900, but if you book with less than 3 weeks in adance you're looking at anything up to R2 700.
