Thumbs up You damn right, South Africa is interesting!

Hey yourself.

I just read what you've just said about South Africa.

South Africa is the first country in the world to try and use what Apartheid era has left behind, for a good cause.

Way back-in-the-days we could not even access internet.Once upon a time i've been watching a movie by the HughesBrothers(Mence two Society) but before it could play we were shown how the riots in the United States Of America went by Police abusing our Black brothers and sisters.I'm not trying to get into politics.

I'm trying to tell you that, each and every South Africa is interested in Politics just because they had been,in one way or another, deeply affected by the White politics of our country. Involve yourself in Politics with me or any other polititian, you'll see.

But to be honest with you, South Africa is not what it seems to be.Our black brothers and sisters are not willing to come about with the change as the black brothers and sisters are. You know what to go to the Western Cape and the Orange Free State, as a Black brother and sister means having no job.One has to speak Afrikaans for one to secure a job for a while, you know?

You, as an American, have to help us bring about change in our Country even if you don't belong here.To me,you belong here because you come here when you feel like.

I have so much to tell but for now let me leave it to yourself to decide.I don't know which topic you would love me to talk about.

Go out there and tell them about how interesting South Africa is.

Peace and lovely stay in our country, that I wish you.

Peace!

Question HEY!

Are you saying that white's are bad?
I don't agree with what they do/used to do to you in South Africa but, overall here, they are pretty nice. People will get upset if you say things like that. You are not the first on this website. I am white. I don't hate you because of your skin or culture. We were all made equal. That is atleast what I think.
Back to the report. I need to know what kind of clothes you wear. Foods, languages, religions, traditions, and holidays. Think you can help? Reply here.
Thanks,
StudyHotGirl

Hey StudyHotGirl

I wouldn't take what Mashalone2000 says seriously. He is without question a racist. His comment about "behind every problem there's a white man" causes me to instantaneously switch off & remember never to respond to him. Waste of time.

What sort of info are you looking for?

Question Education

Right now I am doing the subject of education. Do both females and males go to school? Up to what grade? What ages? If some go to school, what are their social classes? What classes do they teach? What age do you start? Do you have year round school? Is education free? And what are major colleges and universities?
Thanx,
StudyHotGirl

Re: You damn right, South Africa is interesting!

Yo Mash/Rasmeni

In way too many words you actually helped her zilch !

You rot of racism yourself and by the way mate - shouldn't that after (your epilogue ) be behind every white man.

She asked you about our country , and all you can think of is how to make it look really bad in a negative way.

I don't know where the hell you come by your facts about cape town.I think if you do a proper survey you'll find quite contradicting figures. Why is it that whenever somebody asks anyone of you about our country - you first want to make the person understand that you're really suffering and struggling - is that perhaps a way to draw some pitty ?

Everybody in the whole world knows that there was apartheid - that has changed since Nelson Mandela was released.....

why don't we chat on about the last couple of years since they came to power - crime rate , economy , tourism - what about that ? - all that's really happening now is that it's just basically a role reversal - now it's pretty much apartheid the other way round.....

why don't you think about that and next time you tell her about the importance of each province to wealth and upholding of our gross national product - tourism in the cape - great wine and decidious/stone fruit exporting , the transvaal with all it's gold mines , De Beers (which everybody knows about) , the Kruger National Park etc...

if you then want to go into the economical side of things start of by expressing the fact that more and more professionals in top jobs in world leading companies are being forced out , to be replaced by a corrective action member - and in most cases weakenig the global threshhold of the company on world markets.

You can also go on and make her report really interesting by stating the numer of times /percentage ,when government officials were involved in some sort of scam.Boesak,Yengeni etc....

but hey - i'm sure you don't want to chat about that stuff . that's not important is it.

Hi there StudyHotGirl

We have three basic stages of education

1.Primary Education - normally we go to school in the year we turn 7.Primary school last up untill grade7/standard 5.

2.Secondary education - this is what we refer to as higher school - st.6 - 10(matric).Here we have subjects such as Afrikaans,English,Maths,Biology,Science,Accountancy - these are normally compulsary up to st.7 / grade 9.after that you can specialize your course to suit your future needs/plans.

3.University/Technicon

You have to meet standards to be able to join it - you have to score points during your last two years of school to earn clearance to go on to study.

schooling is not subsudised and each parent has to pay for their children.

at univ.you can qualify for a bursary which are given out by the univ.if you have excelled in some or other feild -it can either be in academics or sport , culture etc.

it is very expensive to study and if your parents aren't that wealthy ,or have taken out policies to pay for it - it is very hard if not impossible to study.

on that topic you might ask Mash2000 how they go to university without properly clearing all the standards and not paying .he will surely be able to help you.

Major Universities

Tukkies (University of Pretoria)
Known for accountancy as well as dentistry.

R.A.U. (Rand Academic University)
Known for Economics and Engnineering.

University of Stellenbosch(Maties)
Medical

University of the Orange Free-State(Kovsies)
Law as well as very good medical faculty

Rhodes University
University of Cape Town

That's about it from me for now -

I know the information is not perfect but that will give you some place to start - you can base a couple of your questions on the facts i have given you.

keep well.

Help out Allan !!!
