To the starter of this thread, let me ask you a question, would you be angry if Japanese people appeared on the first page of Japanese.com, or if Chinese people appeared on the front page of Chinese.com, or how about if white people appeared on the first page of Britian.com, France.com or Germany.com?

If not, then you should not be angry over the fact that blacks appear on the opening page of South Africa.com, particularly since the overwhelming majority of the nation is black.

I think there are far more important things to be concerned with, other than worrying about the opening page of this web site. I personally think it is a beautiful picture, and perhaps one day all of you can see the beauty that I see.

One of my good friends here in Orlando, Florida is a white South African who emigrated to America with little more than the shirt on his back in order to escape the violence directed against whites in SA.

BTW, VCI bends over backward to appease black racists and Muslim extremists.....

The number of whites in South Africa is very minute when compared to the number of blacks. Anyone with common sense can see this.

I don't see Germany, Britan and France using blacks on the cover of their travel brochures, even though these countries have black citizens.

You are all missing the point. The point isn't black or white or France or Germany or whatever. It's not the people who run the country. The point is that people of a lesser intelligence don't even know that white people live in South Africa. Ask me I konw every Tom Dick and Harry I meet think that I am English or Australian even better from New Zealand. For once it would be nice to meet someone that knows where I am from.

so old boy,you get irritated by the fact there are no white south african people on the opening page banner....is it REALLY that important to you? is that all you have to moan about in the land of the free and the home of the brave? so if there was a white person on the banner how would you know he WAS south african? he could be a white namibian.....in the "good old days" i dont suppose a black face would be too prominent on the banner would it..........what the great mandela started will not be complete in my life time or yours, but at least change has begun,and thousands have not been slaughtered in its name,as was feared. i have visited different parts of africa on several occasions (9) and have never had a problem with inverted racism directed at me or my wife.
i treat everyone the same,whatever..the only miserable buggers i ever met turned out to be some old school boers!
no sorry old boy,south africa has problems, so does every other country in the world but i dont think putting a white face on a website banner will change anything.
