We have helped countries gain independence (east timor), supported the usa in the war against terrorism, and r a multicultural country where ppl from all backgrounds r free to express theyre religious and political beliefs.

What white South Africans failed to learn from their US and Ozzie counterparts is that if you truly want to claim a country as your own you have to remember to kill off the indigenous peoples until they're a minority. THen you can "liberalise" later when their vote won't amount to anything.

Yes, I know Australians are tolerant... I have some relatives who migrated to Oz because of apartheid ... white husband, coloured wife...
Unfortunately, not all white ex-South Africans are so tolerant, as our friend Punk so clearly illustrates. How do they expect to live in a multi-cultural country like Australia??
And also, if ex-pats only bad mouth our country, with no positive comments, then I think they shouldn't dare call themselves South Africans. Everyone should at least have some patriotism ... in Punk's case his 'patriotism' only extends to white South Africa.
