I am new to this community and it shocks me to read the terrible things said about my country.I't appears to me that the white nation are doing all the moaning and degrading of our beautiful country. We did not moan when we were insulted, had no amenities use if we needed it while shopping in the city, lived in peoples back yards through lack of accomodation and not allowed on the beaches. Our education was kept to a lower grade and when we completed metric we were limited to career choices. We had to train ourselves to be humble,to say yes boss, sorry madame, and if we deared express our selves in anyway, be it our feelings or intelligence, we would be repremanded or fired. I could fill this page with the degrading situations we had to accept. The world is only hearing one side of the story from people who did not care to look beyond their blinkers then, and even now. They were accustomed to been treated like royalty; now that they are been treated as equals it is too much to bear, and like spoilt brats they are looking for sympathy by running down not only our people, but our country as well.I am 45yrs,and it is only now that I have a decent home to live in. It is a blessing to be able to walk around freely and start putting my many restricted skills and talent to use not only for myself, but for others as well. Our country has become more beatiful compared to the way it was.The mojority of black people are more sociable, acepting and friendlier than the whites, and many are highly intelligent; then again many have to be tamed(What is the reaction of an animal that has been set free after years of entraptment or seclusion???)I love all the peolple in my country equally, and quite frankly, apart from skin colour,I don't see anyone as been different in anyway. I had a number of white net-pals from various parts of the country come to visit for the first time.At first they were afraid due to the things they were told about the blacks, but soon they were one of us after I took them around the city and intoduced them to our black population.A well travelled proffessor who, till recently avoided our country was not only amazed, but also shocked by the attitude that is portrayed in other countries and by ex- citizens. He declared that this was the best country he visited. So my dear global friends, before you believe and pity those who run us down because they are not used to sharing, why not meet and get to know the silent victimes. You are welcome to be my guest.
Love you all
