I have recently become very interested in Cryptozoology especially when it concerns africa. I have read alot about african cryptids like the kerit, nsui-fisi, mngwa, khodumodumo, etc. I was wondering if any of you who read this have heard of these or other african cryptids from a relative or friend or co-worker but the information is to no way come from sources like TV, books or internet.
If you have something to tell me and you don't want to post a reply, e-mail me at. teboho@africamail.com And remember to always tell who you heard it from, I don't need names. This is just about the closest I am getting to a complete study or investigation which I might conduct in the near future. Thank you |

Interests me too - although I am not familiar with the ones you mention there. The only African cryptid I know much about is the Mokele Mbembe - the sauropod that allegedly lives in Likoula Swamp in the Congo.
This is apparently the size of an elephant, aquatic dinosaur with long neck and tail. Its territory is very tough to penetrate so very untouched by man but local people report sightings quite often. It has yet to be verifiably photographed. My ambition is to someday go there. There are quite a lot of net resources on it. I remembered some others actually: The Tibesti sibre-tooth in Chad, and the Pterosaur (don't know local name) in Congo. All very exciting creatures!!! |
