We better start inventing a new set of months so everone can get their fair share then... hehehehe.

Reading some of these previous posts makes me laugh..... as if black people never had a single war between them before the pale faces rocked up.... hehehheheh.. how naive.

Also I like the one about black people selecting Feb because there are no white holidays in that one... good idea.... Hallmark will surely fix that someday... they've already beefed up valentines day plenty.

Soemhow I don't get it though... some people have to run arround celebrating themselves and their history.... I just go to work and makes ends meet.... how sick I must be!

YOU BULL *****ER, what do you mean we left you out of the history books? Go read a history text book and then come back and tell me that. Another thing, whites DID think of celebrating their race, BUT it would be regarded as "Racist" so go stuff your nose somewhere else. I have read lots of your posts, and all I have heard is * I am opressed, whites are Racist, blacks rule* and YOU are telling US that WE are RACIST, but YOU are more racist than all of us put together!! And not ALL white people are Racist, sure SOME of us have made a few big mistakes in the PAST, but it is OVER now and no-one can do anything about it. All we have is the present and the future. And just because SOME white people are racist doesn't mean we ALL are, so stop saying that we are. And you black people who are supporting Fred are NO BETTER than the racist white people. I'm not racist, as a matter of fact Nelson Mandela is my hero. So please stop saying that we are all racist and go somewhere else to talk about stuff you don't know S**T about.

Sorry Shade but Ethiopia was never colonised. The Italians tried but were expelled. U see Ethiopia was a empire itself, thus it colonised aswell. Just befor the second world war the Italians invaded Ethiopia a second time, and during the second world war they got expelled for a second time.

By the way every body chill out. Fred only asked how it is celebrated in Africa. Sorry fred it isn't. Africa is a contenent and not a country. Egypt Lybia and most of north africa dont have black people in them. In South Africa the indigenous people (the first people in South Africa), the San and the Koi aren't black tecnically. The histories are very diverse and can't be lumped under a race. By the way soosi check out South African Archeaology if you want to see some history that is not white. There are some very good textbooks on S.A. history that will give you the whole picture aswell. One of them is surprisingly written by a Afrikaner proffessor of history at R.A.U.

first: to be black isn't to be different! where is the difference? I don't see any! I mean, I love black people and one of my best friend is from Africa and she's black, my boyfriend is black (not from Africa), I love your skin but stop. There is no other difference. "to be different" seems to be something wrong. Different from what? What is the standard? To be white? Why should it be? No one can be different 'cause there isn't a standard. Nobody is different. Why some people (a lot of people ) don't notice that??

If your 15 and can see that when a person cuts themselves, regardless of the colour of there skin, there blood is red, then you are streaks and light years ahead of some of the people on this forum.


keep the spirit of equality and respect for individuality alive in your heart, because you will meet people through out life who will be jealous that you have the strength to be a good human being.

People who carry fear in there hearts will attract the same kind of people into there lives. If you keep true to who you are, they will not be able to last in your company.
