why dont you people get along, do we need such a debate at this point in time, when we blacks are trying so haer to accomodate our "fellow" white south africans, who i must say are very reluctant to join us in building a worth while society.

I have to agree with Jaybang here.

Although, as he says, there will always be people from every race, group, creed and colour who do not want unity, we must always be careful of the dangers of "generalisation".

I think it's only a minority from every group who is opposed to unity, and we shouldn't let the rantings of any side(which make up in loundness what they lack in substance and support) lead us to believe that "all" whites, or "all" blacks, or "all" anybody, feels the same way.

On the whole, we're almost all reasonable people of good intent. We must never let the fact that some aren't blind us to this.

guys can i ask you something as south africans who reside in south africa "hopefully" how do you guys define unity? coz you said sometimes there is a danger that we people generalise issues, meaning the fact that we can equally share things as a people to me that is not unity, ecause look at the circumstance that make use share is it out of our will as south africas or should i say are our white mates sharing with us because the want to are becaus ethe are now legislations that compele thewm to do so ,a simple question how are black people threated by the white group when they move into a white surburb? what is the perception that is out the about us blacks when we move into the houghtons , the sandtons of this country. if you guys can make me understand that what is happening out there is wrong then i shall apologise for what ever i said in t his forum about white south africans risiting change.
