Dad was very health-conscious . One day when momma was roasting chicken,he told momma, "Rose Marie, please get all the fat off the chicken.I could cry when I see how much fat we consume.Do you know fats do very little good for us.?"

Momma put a container under the chicken to catch all the fat. When the container was almost filled she asked my sister to allow the liquid to cool and then to pour it into a garbage
bag. My sister ,after 30 minutes, was about to pour the liquid into a bag when my dad shouted, "Magdiliva, stop, stop, dear! what are you doing?"

Mag responded," Momma, asked me to do that."

Then dad turned to Momma and said, " Rose Marie, why waste the fat? We could use it to make soup."

[Theja]

Replied Rose Marie: "Sorry, my dear, I don't want to make you cry" --- and she dumps the chicken fat.
