Egypt: The Land of Mummies and Daddies
Whenever I enter a classroom, students would almost invariably request a joke. In fact, in some districts in the U.S.A. formal education is a "joke." Comparing education in a group of countries , almost every year since 1987, the U.S.A. was placed at the bottom in science and math. This was determined by objective testing. I dread to think what the results would reveal if students in the U.S.A. participated in English tests.
Here is a joke A company executive was just about to board the plane destined for Egypt. His son and his wife were at the airport to see him off. His son became hysterical and held on to his father's legs crying, "Don't go Daddy, don't go Daddy." An onlooker, concerned at the boy's hysteria, asked the his mother the reason for the boy's behavior. The mother responded, "He does not want his father to go to Egypt as he fears that his daddy might become his mummy." to a restaurant |
