portraying Africa as a set back, third world continent where the people are intellectually behind.
Well, that's the truth, isn't it? Actually, the portrayal of Africa in Hollywood is the only good job that Hollywood has done throughout its history. Despite all that, we still see signs of political correctness, for example how whites are portrayed as the evil behind the troubles in Africa, like in Blood Diamond (and even Black Hawk Down). Nonetheless, Blood Diamond is my favourite African movie because it does not gloss over the fact that there are white Africans out there, who are proud of their heritage and achievements in Africa, and are not afraid of being politically incorrect (for example, continuing to refer to Zim as RHODESIA).

I liked that movie for the same reason, plus leo looked so good. Yea thats one thing I have never really understood either. I have heard so many times that whites are just "vistors" in SA. Well if that is the case than I guess I am just a vistor in the US. I mean did'nt white people start coming to South Africa around the 1600's? not to long after the europeans came to America. I mean based on that criteria of being a vistor, I would really be a vistor. My family did'nt get to American until the mid 1800's. But thats not the case, I'm not a vistor, I'm an American, my ancestors helped build the place.

Exactly!

Yea, Leo did a brilliant job. No one else could've played the part as well as he did! Noble attempt at producing the S. African accent, too. RESPECT.
