I lived in SA and the USA. Saying that I will say that its great to live there IF you have a viable trade. IF you have visited there. IF you ahve enough cash to keep you going to til you get settled. AND IF you have a support network. You cant think that SA is like Europe or USA its not. Thats what makes it so beautiful and different. BUT there is no unemployment welfare or safety net. There are a LOT of untrained or semi trained people looking for work already there. If you ahve capitol then maybe it could be a great thing, if your just loooking for a exotic country that speaks English then go for a year long holiday. The crime rate is high but the emotional toll is higher. Lots of unemployment lots of beggars and lots of great things too. Just remember its NEW South Africa not the "old" South Africa. There are alot of WONDERFUL things there culture arts ocean fun people. Think twice move once. The airplane tickets are expensive. Best wishes to all.
