How to overcome certain sins

OVERCOMING SINS:

When we talk about sins, the first things that came to Christians
mind is sexual immorality. But this is just one of the sin.
One of the reason why Christians backslided, or cast off their faith,
is due to lack of knowledge where overcoming sins are concern.

WHAT WE MEAN BY BACKSLIDING:

2Timothy 2:16-AV But shun profane [and] vain babblings: for they
will increase unto more ungodliness.
2Timothy 2:17-AV And their word will eat as doth a canker: of
whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
2Timothy 2:18-AV Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that
the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of
some.
FAITH MADE SHIPWRECK:

1Timothy 1:19-AV Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some
having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
1Timothy 1:20-AV Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have
delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.

IT IS NOT THE PLAN OF GOD FOR US TO OVERCAME IN A
PRACTICAL SENSE, UNTIL YOU FIRST SUFFER:


1Peter 5:10-AV But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto
his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a
while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you].

If we overcame sins before we are broken by your own failures, and
cast our self upon the mercies of God.

We will became cocky and fall into the condemnation of Satan.
When a Christian think he or she is too strong, too perfect, too
clean, they quickly became
perfection alist, beating upon other weak Christians causing them to
give up completely.

So it is not God plan for us to over came
all sins in a practical way the moment we got save. In God mind, from the
moment he save
us, he already bank perfections on our accounts. Even if you failed
every day, he is going to find a way to bring you in clean.
However, God want you and I to reach the place where you can take on Satan
on your own just like all the saints who gone on before us and beat
him. This take time and knowledge. Any time knowledge came of how to
deal with a certain sins, the sin ceases to be a problem.

Zechariah 4:6-AV Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This
[is] the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might,
nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.
Zechariah 4:7-AV Who [art] thou, O great mountain? before
