Typical... English sour grapes. At least when we lose, we say "we were outplayed." Well we'll take the RWC however we can get it, and hold it up proudly for the next three years. See you in SA for the round ball world cup in 2010.

And you came here just to tell us that?
![]() But you are right. We didn't win it. We owned it. The trophy has once again returned to its rightful owners. You can't win that which is yours to begin with, can you? ![]() |

. . . anyway, rant over . . . at least we lost to a proper team, and not, God forbid, <spit> the argies, or, even worse, <shudder> the frogs . . .
thing is, I have a nice and comfy SA Rugby shirt, (it's that old it has Castle Lager as the sponsors) . . can't wear it out of doors now!!! |

That's the spirit...!Btw, kudos to Wilkinson & co. for snubbing Mbeki. Not sure what the hell happened there, but it was sensational. Brit media saying anything about that? Some S. Africans have raised all hell for it. I only wish to know what the reason for the snubbing was. I hope it had to do with Mbeki's position on Zim and some of 'our' politicians' beyond-rude statements and behaviour towards the UK. If so, a handful of English players have more balls than all of our team combined. |

There is a lot more information about eeh bah gum, (think about it), that reaches our screens here, than you realise. We have recently had a week of undercover reporting from that once lovely part of SA we used to own, and it was not for the faint-hearted.
Oy!!! The William Webb Ellis trophy, is named after the English boy who invented the game . . . . .and Coo!! just looked him up on Wikipedia, and he's a Manc too . . . 'tis a proud day for me!!!! lol |
