Excellent design along with brilliant maintenance create a in Pecanwood Golf Course a golfers adventure, a test of intelligence coupled with skill. Each hole brings its own challenge as you will discover with the brief description that follows.

Starting off with hole 1, your game is underway with a careful tee shot more toward the right side of the fairway, leading onto the big green. Hole number 2 is wide-open, but a bunker to the right may prove a snag. The 3rd hole is a difficult par 3 for which you should use a mid iron to punt the ball onto the green with water to the right and a bunker to the left. Hole 4 is a short par 4 with deep bunkers to the left of the fairway. You will need a well-aimed drive along the left for hole 5. Hole 6 features a well protected green with bunkers and water. Moving on to hole 7 which is a trying tee shot with a narrow landing area. Then comes another par 3 with hole 8 with an undulating green and bunkers all around. Forward onto hole 9, a relatively straightforward hole with the largest green. Hole 10 has a large landing area leading to a sloped green. The 11th hole has a narrow tee shot due to the bunkers on both sides. Number 12 needs an accurate tee shot to avoid the center placed bunker, a great chance to go for a birdie. Then we arrive at Pecanwood's signature hole, 13. This par 3 runs beside a dam with a large bunker on either side of the green. Hole 14 comes with a warning - take care to look out for the lake. Careful positioning is important on hole 15 as the green has some tough slopes. Hole 16 has a number of tricks up its sleeve. Looking out over Hartebeespoort Dam is Hole 17, with a narrow, long green. Then its off to the final hole, 18, a real challenge with plenty of nasty bunkers.

Aside from the main golf course, Pecanwood Estate has top standard practice facilities. The well-kept driving range is a dream for practicing both distance control and accuracy. Practice greens are ideal for brushing up on your short game. Additionally, for new comers to the game of golf or those who need some assistance, Pecanwood boasts a fantastic teaching academy under the care of Craig La Vita.
