Zimbali Coastal Resort - Experience Freedom in Nature

Zimbali is a coastal resort near Umhlanga Rocks, on the North Coast of ZwaZulu Natal. Zimbali Coastal Resort is often referred to as an oasis, because of its natural beauty and the tranquil lifestyle. The serenity of the shaded forest foot paths, the calm of the ocean, and the relaxing activities are irresistible.

Many fast paced city dwellers have relocated to Zimbali, semi permanent or permanently, to enjoy a life filled with golf, horse riding, and long walks along the beach. Bird watching, tennis, or waiting in the forest to catch a fleeting glimpse of an exquisite butterfly, becomes part of their lives.

Designing the 18 hole golf course on the Zimbali Country Club grounds, proved to be a hair raising challenge to golf course designer, Tom Weiskopf. Zimbali is extremely conservation conscious and required a golf course that is ecologically sound. As a result, the golf course maximizes the changing terrain, and offers any level of golfer, a challenging yet scenic course, set amongst a magnificent landscape. The Zimbali Country Club is a recipient of the Complete Golfer 5 Star course rating, ranked by Golf Digest as one of the top twenty golf courses in South Africa, and one of the five finest golfing experiences. Based on the course, clubhouse facilities and experience, Zimbali Country Club and Golf Course received the Complete Golfers 5 Star Gold Experience Award. With all this said, there should be no doubt in any golfers mind, that golfing in Zimbali, is a memorable event.

The Valley of Pools is another attraction in Zimbali that is extremely popular. Amazing views of the ocean is visible from these freshwater pools, with a coffee shop for the hungry or thirsty. Driving around the Zimbali Coastal Resort estate in the early mornings or late evenings, might give you the opportunity to spot a few animals such as duikers or bush buck. Or even take a seat on the sand, and watch for playful dolphins to glide by.
