Tongaat

Tongaat is the oldest Indian community is South Africa, and features the Vishwaroop Temple and the Juggernath Puri Temple.

At Tongaat beach there is a Crocodile Breeding Centre where these reptiles may be observed at close quarters. Tongaat also has a beautiful 18 hole golf course.

Tongaat is known for its huge production of sugar, at the Tongaat-Hulett factory, that produces the whole of South Africa of high quality sugar. Huletts sugar is designated as the fifth most admired food brand in South Africa and sixth favorite brand name overall.
