Nelspruit

Nelspruit is appointed as the Provincial Capital of the Eastern Transvaal situated in the heart of the beautiful Lowveld on the banks of the Crocodile River. This is the base for all activity in the area being the center of the Citrus, Avocado, Mango, Pawpaw and numerous other fruit and vegetable industries.

The Lowveld Botanical Gardens, Citrus and Sub Tropical Fruit Institute is worth visiting and the town has recreational facilities including an excellent country club with golf, bowls, swimming, tennis, also modern Hotels, Caravan parks and excellent restaurants.

This town has a number of excellent curio shops and venues for the tourist and is the branch off point for the Kruger National Park, as well as private reserves and areas to the north of the province.
