Johannesburg Theatres - Wonderful Performing Arts

Johannesburg is widely considered to be one of South Africa's most vibrant and diverse cultural centers. It is certainly the most densely populated city in the country and with the large number of educational institutions in the city, many of which encourage innovative self-expression, it is no wonder that Johannesburg has a thriving visual and performing arts community – and there are plenty of theaters offering a platform to showcase this immense flow of talent to appreciative audiences.

In addition to world-class local theater productions that take place throughout the year, theaters in Johannesburg often play host to major international productions and very often Johannesburg theater-goers are absolutely spoiled for choice. Among Johannesburg’s most popular theaters are the Liberty Theater on the Square in Sandton, the Nelson Mandela Theater in the Johannesburg Theater Complex in Braamfontein, the Montecasino Theater in Fourways and the Market Theater complex in the Newtown Precinct, an area which is currently being rejuvenated with much success. So, whether you live in this bustling Gauteng Province city or are a visitor, enrich your cultural experience with a performance at one of the theaters in Johannesburg.

John Hylton REAL DIAMOND - 2010-11-12 22:30:17

John Hylton...decribed as probably the best Neill Diamond Tribute theatre show in the World....would like to hear from theatres, or other suitable venues, who would like to have him with his band, REAL DIAMOND perform on the same night or same week that Neil Diamond himself appears in their city.....HE IS CERTAIN NOW TO SELL OUT....This is surely an oppotunity?? Good chance of Radio, TV or press interest .....simply for the audacity of this. regards John Hylton

Thank you for visiting SouthAfrica.com. We do not represent the theaters mentioned above, so you need to contact them directly. Another option is to contact PANSA - Performing Arts Network of South Africa - for more information.
