I wish that we had more time their. I was able to do and see a lot there. I also got to try some different foods like crocodile. The weather was really nice. The average temperature was in the 70's. On February 14th we arrived into the Victoria and Alfred's Waterfront Pier in Cape Town South Africa. On this day I woke up at 6 am to watch the sunrise over Table Top Mountain and to watch our arrival into the port. The sunrise was really beautiful, but unfortunately after it had risen the fog rolled in and delayed our arrival into South Africa. We were scheduled to be into the port at 8 am and we did not arrive till 1 pm This caused a lot of problems with scheduled field trips. As we pulled into the pier we could see seals swimming in the ocean. After arriving into the pier, and finding out that my field trip had been cancelled a group of us got together and went out to explore Cape Town. Our Ship was docked on Jetty 2. This pier was the most developed pier that we have been to. There was a 5 star hotel next to our ship, also within a block was a mall, and 70+ restaurants. This was a nice change from what we have been use to. Seals also swim around the pier, and lay on the docks. So we got to see a lot of seals.
