NATHAN's EARTH launch invite for Wandsworth Artsits' Open House 2012 [01:56]
This year sees the launch of a brand new project by Nathan Meyers; an organisation that will help support the work of South Africa's Biodiversity & Wine Initiative (BWI) through the sale of photography and wine - NATHAN's EARTH The Unique Cape Floristic Region The Western Cape of South Africa is home to the world's smallest and most diverse plant kingdom on earth. The Cape Floristic Region (CFR) has earned international recognition as a World Heritage Site and a global biodiversity hotspot. Despite the CFR's unique global conservation status, this region is under increasing threat from expanding agricultural and urban development, the spread of invasive alien plant species, too-frequent fires and inappropriate land management activities, such as overgrazing. Why is this project needed? The CFR is also home to 90% of the South African wine industry, with 80% of all the remaining natural areas of the CFK situated on privately owned land. Minibus Taxi in Durban [02:05]
We took a minibus taxi from Victoria Street Market to Musgrave Center in Durban, South Africa. It took quite a while to find a taxi going in the appropriate direction. The music on the ride was well worth the wait, though it was a bit on the loud side.

Cape Town - Misty Cliffs - Lichens on the rocks [02:27]
Near Cape Town in South Africa there is a place called Misty cliffs. A very appropriate name as there is a constant mist hanging over the nearly vertical cliff face.Probably caused by the sea spray it hangs over the rocks on the beach. If one closely observes the surface of the rocks there are millions of lichens growing in the most amasing form and colours. I have never seen anything like this anywhere else on this planet......I love Cape Town !!
