baviaans hack. august .10 [03:25]
as part of ym cross-country expedition in august 2010, i came across the students and staff of Living Lands, out in the baviaanskloof area. this video documents an invasive plant clearing weekend, known as a 'hack'. here,we spent three days and two nights deep in the baviaanskloof, camping next tot he river and clearing the riverside of invasive alien species of plants, shrubs and trees. under expert guidance, we cleared over a thousand plants and explored this massively amazing ancient site. the pictures were taken on a handheld digital camera without preconception of this video, the music was created at the Living Lands Village in the next week, also over two days. this video is my feeble attempt to say thanks to the staff, crew and fellow hackers for an unforgettable experience.
