Cape Peninsula [06:20]
The scenic Cape Peninsula, part of Cape Town's Table Mountain National Park. It begins southwest of Table Mountain und stretches all the way to the Cape of Good Hope, over a distance of 40 kilometres. The mountains are covered with dense Fynbos vegetation. Many bays and coves with beautiful beaches, in the west along the Atlantic and in the East at the Indian Ocean. The journey starts in the pittoresc fishing village of Hout Bay with the busy harbour and lively promenade. Substantial amounts of fish are unloaded here every day. Mostly it is snoek or hake, mainly for export to Spain. Behind the fishing boats: the arts and crafts market with items from all over Africa, including diamonds. Boat rides on the bay are quite popular. As a farewell - and a welcome on return - the colourfully dressed street musicians from the Hangklip quarter play and sing their tunes. Proceeding to the Cape - on the Chapman's Peak Drive - along the Atlantic coast. To the left of the road - wonderful hiking trails into the Table Mountain National Park. The proteas are part of the unique fynbos vegetation. At Chapman's Point the view of Hout Bay is overwhelming. Here starts the most dramatic part of the stretch. Steep rockwalls, narrow curves and gallery tunnels, and to the right the endless blue Atlantic ocean. Behind the last bend a wide view opens. In front lies the wild sandy beach of Noordhoek. One of the most beautiful beaches in South Africa. Close to the Cape: ostriches at the sea. The Cape ...

Chapman's Peak Drive on the Cape Peninsula [01:59]
The Chapman's Peak Drive on the Cape Peninsula - from Hout Bay to Noordhoek. Behind the toll station starts the most beautiful road in the Western Cape. With a stunning view of Hout Bay and the distintive Mount Sentinel at the entrance to the bay. To the left of the road - wonderful hiking trails into the pristine nature of the Table Mountain National Park. With its unique fynbos vegetation. The proteas are part of it. At Chapman's Point the view is overwhelming. Here starts the most dramatic part of the stretch. Steep rockwalls, narrow serpentine curves and gallery tunnels, and to the right the endless blue Atlantic ocean. Behind the last bend a wide view opens. In front lies the wild sandy beach of Noordhoek. For me the most beautiful beach in South Africa.

KENAZ | A Sight-and-Sound Journey [05:49]
I've found that there are very few limits for those who keep an active sense of humor and cultivate a brave heart and an open mind. The trouble, so to speak, comes when we forget our basic 'beingness', and imagine ourselves to be in any way superior to our environment, without respecting our intricate connection with it. The restless adventurer in me has been reveling in all the different places I've been visiting over the past few years as a traveling musician. Every place has its unique soul, and that is open to each person's interpretation, just as it is created by us all. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as they say. This, I believe, holds true for joy too. I've been traveling through South Africa, usually with my guitar on the backseat, off to play whatever gigs I could find. Some gigs find me, and whisk me off to strange and wonderful corners of the country to share my art there. And its through meeting people and experiencing the places along my journey, that I've found my deepest inspiration for writing. I'm taking the scope of my inspiration and artistic expression to the realms of multi-media. With handheld/mountable HD cameras I'm capturing moments in my journeys and adventures, and filming live shows and other meetings and events and weaving the lot together with the music that's been inspired by journeys like the ones in the film in the first place. The result? A sight-and-sound journey that will hopefully have you dreaming of adventure and smiling ...

South Africa Hout Bay.mov [02:14]
The Odyssey Group takes a quck tour of famed Hout Bay near Cape Town South Africa. Its the jump off point for Seal Island. Wikipedia: Hout Bay is a popular tourist attraction among both local and international visitors. There are a variety of restaurants in the village as well as two hotels (the Hout Bay Manor and the Chapman's Peak Hotel), many bed and breakfasts and self-catering accommodation where visitors can stay. The harbour is a worthwhile visit, as there are spectacular views of the bay and boat rides to Duiker Island and around the Sentinel. Chapman's Peak Drive is one of the world's most scenic mountain drives and has recently undergone renovations to ensure the safety of travellers using the route. The East and West forts built by the Dutch in the 18th century can also be visited, with the original cannons and barracks still standing on the slopes of Chapman's Peak. The East fort is the oldest operating gun battery in the world. The mountains surrounding Hout Bay also make for good hiking trails. In the same area is the bronze statue of a leopard looking out over the ocean.
