Clanwilliam - Quaint Town with Breathtaking Mountains

Just outside of Cape Town, nestled against the breathtaking Cederberg Mountains, is a town that is known for the manufacturing of leather footwear referred to as Veldskoene and for the planting and cultivation of rooibos. Many visitors are surprised by the quaint town of Clanwilliam as it has much more to offer than initially meets the eye.

In regard to attractions in Clanwilliam, visitors will have a wonderful variety to choose from, and when it comes to nature reserves, the Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve & Retreat, the Karukareb Wildernes Reservaat and Oudrift will provide visitors with hiking and bird watching opportunities. Attractions include the Bulshoek Dam Wall, Die Erf farmhouse, historical walks, the Englishman’s Grave and various activities such as river rafting, rock climbing, 4x4 routes, mountain biking, rock art, tours, arts and crafts browsing and fishing. Clanwilliam is a quaint town that brings the beauty and tranquility of the Western Cape together in one location.
