Western Cape Beaches – Splendid and Magnificent
When the Western Cape Province is mentioned the picturesque landscapes of the wine estates, the splendor of Table Mountain and the stylish establishments of Cape Town immediately come to mind. But the Western Cape hides another jewel along its coastline, namely the beaches of the Western Cape. Some that located within city limits are rather overwhelming with hundreds of holiday makers frolicking in the water and working on their tans, but there are a few that are peaceful and secluded and give visitors the opportunity to sit down and enjoy the beauty of nature.
The majority of the beaches in the Western Cape are in close proximity to the Mother City of South Africa, and visitors to the city can enjoy day excursions to most of them. Beaches in and around Cape Town, include Camps Bay, Muizenberg, Clifton Beach, Sea Point, Hout Bay, Noordhoek and Bloubergs Big Bay. Just outside of Cape Town, visitors can visit breathtaking stretches of coastline such as Gordons Bay, Kammabaai, Strand and Grotto Beach. The beaches of the Western Cape are magnificent, each with its own unique features and attractions, and each one worth exploring.
