Tswalu Game Reserve – A Unique Natural Experience
Tswalu Game Reserve, also known as Tswalu Kalahari Reserve, is beautifully located in South Africa's Northern Cape Province. Encompassing the Koranneberg Mountains and covering 100 000 hectares beside the Kalahari desert, Tswalu is a home to a range of diverse and interesting wildlife.
Interestingly, Tswalu Kalahari Reserve is said to be the largest private game reserve in the country. It was purchased by the famous Oppenheimer family in 1998 as part of their other conservation projects both in Gauteng province and even in the United Kingdom. In the bounds of this expansive territory are some 70 mammal species such as lions, black rhinoceroses, cheetahs, roan and sable antelope.
