Jeffrey’s Bay – Surfers Paradise

Home to a leg of the annual Billabong Pro surfing competition, Jeffreys Bay has become a favorite surfing destination for local and international surfers. It’s laid back and arty atmosphere is soaked up by thousands of visitors each year who come to enjoy the peacefulness and beauty of this holiday town. Breathtaking beaches and luxury accommodation is not all that Jeffreys Bay has to offer, as the town may be tranquil but it is far from unexciting.

Located less than an hour away from Port Elizabeth, Jeffreys Bay has a wide variety of outdoor adventures for visitors to enjoy. Its magnificent reefs and the chance to see a few dolphins up close lures scuba divers to the waters of this coastal town. When visitors are not under the water or making the most of the waves, they engage in thrilling activities such as quad bike trails, horse riding trails, golf, fishing, sand boarding, hiking or rafting. With the Kabeljous River & estuary, Noorsekloof Nature reserve and Seekoei Nature Reserve being located close to town, wildlife and nature enthusiasts have the opportunity to discover the natural wonders of this region. The Shell Museum and Surf Museum are truly remarkable attractions and annual festivals such as the Shell Festival and Kouga Gospel Festival should not be missed.

Shoppers will also find Jeffreys Bay to be a shopping gem, as a variety of surfing brands have outlets in the town and visitors are able to purchase the latest items and clothing in their ranges. Trendy restaurants and festive pubs offer good food, entertainment and late night celebration after a long day of exploring and relaxation.
